You sold six figures.
So where did it go?

Your profit is buried under platform fees, ad spend and inventory. We pull it apart so you can see what actually earns.

Who this is for

You know the feeling.

You are holding stock you paid for last quarter and calling it revenue this one.
Shopify, Amazon and Meta each report a different number and none of them is profit.
You could not say which product actually makes money, only which one sells most.
You owe sales tax in states you have never set foot in.
Your best month on paper was your worst month for cash.
The difference

Same revenue. Different business.

Brands with Breadcounter

Knowing what earns

Contribution margin on every SKU, every month
Inventory tracked as cash, with days of cover
Registered and filed everywhere you owe
Ad spend judged against profit, not revenue
The difference

Most accountants have never sold a physical product.

01

The real cost of goods

Not the invoice price. Landed cost, freight, duties, packaging, returns and the platform fee that comes off before you ever see the money.

02

Profit per product

One product carries the business. One is a hobby you are subsidising. Until the costs are allocated properly, they look identical on a revenue report.

03

Inventory is not profit

Cash you spent on stock sitting in a warehouse is not a good month, it is money you cannot use. We show you what is tied up and for how long.

04

Sales tax, before it finds you

Nexus rules change the moment you cross a threshold in a state. We track where you owe, register you there, and file it, rather than waiting for a notice.

Proof

You get to see all of it.

Your numbers, updated from your closed books, benchmarked against brands your size. Not a spreadsheet someone emails you in March.

Questions

Before you ask.

Do you work with Shopify, Amazon and TikTok Shop?

Yes, and with the fee structures behind them. Each platform reports revenue differently and takes its cut at a different point, which is exactly why brands end up with three numbers and no idea which is profit. We normalise all of it into one set of books.

Can you handle sales tax in multiple states?

Yes. We track your nexus thresholds as you cross them, register you where you are required to, and file on schedule. Marketplace facilitator rules mean some of it is handled for you and some of it very much is not, and the difference matters.

What if my books are already a mess?

Common, and fixable. We start with a catch-up cleanup, rebuild the history month by month, then move you onto ongoing monthly work. You do not have to tidy anything before you talk to us.

How is this different from a normal bookkeeper?

A bookkeeper records what happened. We allocate landed cost properly, show contribution margin per product, track inventory as cash rather than profit, and tell you what to do about it. There is also a tax strategy behind it, decided during the year rather than after.

Do I need to switch accounting software?

Usually not. We work in Xero and QuickBooks, and we will use whichever you already have unless there is a real reason to move. If we do recommend switching, we handle the migration.

Know what you actually keep.

Book a call. We will look at your numbers and tell you which products earn and which ones are quietly funded by the others.
